Another year has passed and it is time for crafters to offer their creations to others at the upcoming Mardi Gras Fair. The Mardi Gras Fair was started in 1997 and what was initially planned as an exhibition sale has developed into a major folk culture event. It has become a place where, in addition to buying and selling national crafts, crafters can communicate and exchange experiences. It is an ideal place to revive old traditions and Mardi Gras customs.
This time has been For the Muhu craft society Oad ja Eed very fast, because the embroideries made in Muhu are unique and of high quality. Knowing that there will be more crowds at the Muhu handicraft stall gives people more enthusiasm and motivation. At this point, we have the opportunity and pleasure to invite everyone to the next carnival fair at Saku Suurhall on November 5th - 7th.
The reason we are writing about this is that for the first time this year, in collaboration with the craft society Beans and Eggs we put together a restored and reprinted Leida Kirst`u different pattern sheets. At the fair, you can purchase a unique copy of the patterns inspired by the beautiful nature of Muhu County from the craft society's sales stand. Be sure to be there, because there are limited quantities of embroidery patterns.
Come and see the quality embroidery, made with care and love by skilled Muhu craftsmen.
