A brief summary of the page…
At the end-of-year gathering of Saare County's cultural community at the Marta-Lovise guesthouse in the village of Lümanda Mai in Kipi, awards, mementos and (souvenir) gifts were distributed yesterday afternoon to recognized cultural workers and local government leaders who support culture.
Several craft prizes were awarded.
Selma Pahapill accepted the Kadakmari 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award. The Master's Award went to craft teacher and master craftsman Paul Tohv.
The annual event award was presented to the master craftsman and distinguished embroiderer, Muhu handicraft promoter Leida Kirstule and the Ligi family for launching Muhu tikand.ee.
