It was 1990 when fashion designer Saima Krik came to Leida with a request to decorate a dress she had designed for a teenage girl with ethnic motifs. The material chosen was white fine wool fabric, which was to be made into beautiful strawberries with fine wool yarn.
A little bit of pattern design, choosing the right threads and the embroidery could begin. The embroidery turned out beautiful and, as Saima Krik later said, the embroidered strawberries caused a lot of excitement at the international exhibition. The result was that the embroidered dress won first place in its category and thanks to its dignified place, the entire collection was photographed in a photo studio by Voldemar Maaski and was printed on the cover of the “Eesti Naise” magazine in 1990.
It seems that history is repeating itself, and national motifs are gaining popularity on various types of clothing today. Beautiful national motifs on festive clothes, tastefully and stylishly presented, are a feast for the eyes of many.

very beautiful. We are used to embroidery on a black background everywhere, but this embroidery on a white background is very beautiful.
