muhu tikand, muhu tikandi kursus, õpi muhu tikandit, muhu kultuur, muhu pärandIn autumn, when the weather gets colder and the days get shorter, it's time to think about things that warm both body and soul. Every autumn I start to miss felt slippers. Not the mass-produced ones that are only suitable for hiding inside wellies, but the kind that you can proudly walk around the room in.

Then my friend the internet came to my rescue, and in its vastness I managed to find Sussimemm Maarja Simova. I looked through her blog and felt that I had found exactly what I had been looking for.

At one point, I started to notice some familiar handwriting on Sussimemme's blog, and upon closer inspection, I realized what it was. Namely, Muhu's embroidery book had also reached her.

I immediately felt so proud that my grandmother's creation would inspire someone to embroider Muhu on such great slippers. Now I immediately felt braver to write to Sussimemmi. I had already kind of got my paw in :D. Since I had told my mother about my discovery and she in turn told my grandmother, the order was immediately tripled because no one could live without felt slippers anymore.

A few months have passed, and during that time the year and money have changed, and our long-awaited slippers have finally arrived. Although I don't actually have the slippers in my hands yet, I can already imagine myself shuffling around in my gorgeous white slippers and making everyone jealous :D.

I would like to thank Maarja, who, among all the other "urgent and important" things, finds time to do something that makes people's eyes shine.

Joyfully,
Lina
