Another year has passed and it is time for crafters to offer their creations to others at the upcoming Mardi Gras Fair. The Mardi Gras Fair was started in 1997 and what was initially planned as an exhibition sale has developed into a major folk culture event. It has become a place where, in addition to buying and selling national crafts, crafters can communicate and exchange experiences. It is an ideal place to revive old traditions and Mardi Gras customs.

For more information and schedule, see from here.

Muhu Craft Society "Oats and Beans"

Just like in previous years, the Muhu Crafts Society is also moving in a certain tradition. The members of the society have made a lot of nice and interesting products. The product range includes scarves, hats, gloves and of course traditional Muhu pätte. The Crafts Society Oad ja Eed is in the same place where it has been for 2 years (on the right side, almost at the back end, no. 153, opposite the Mardisandi school). You can still find Muhu residents' crafts at sales points no. 152, 100 and 130.

In addition, Oad ja Eed will also participate in the Helsinki Carnival, which is open on November 20th from 10 am to 6 pm and on November 21st from 10 am to 5 pm, more information  http://www.martinmarkkinat.fi/

Be sure to come and see what nimble fingers have crafted this year.

In Tallinn, Saku Suurhall

This year you can find embroidery threads at the Mardi Gras!

In addition to beautiful products, this year there is an opportunity to purchase embroidery thread set, which contains a lot of different colors. What adds to the personality is that if you are only missing certain colors, Kaia Veskimeister will accept your wishes until Wednesday (10.11.2010) evening (kaia@lausend.ee 5269260)

This year there is also an exceptional opportunity to preview the works coming to the fair in advance.
